The Olvera is a two tier round shelf on a 14 inch metal turntable. Books stand upright at 90 degrees around the circumference and plants sit along the concentric inner ring, so a spin brings any item to the front instead of forcing you to reach past the row in front of it.
A round footprint suits places a rectangular shelf fights: beside a bed, in the open middle of a room, or at the end of a run of cabinets where a hard corner would catch a hip. Every edge is fully rounded, which removes the sharp corners that make tall furniture a hazard in a busy household.
