Alcala Cream Striped Washable Irregular Edge Rug for Living Rooms
- Fully washable, not just spot clean
- Irregular cut edge, no hard border
- Soft polyester pile underfoot
The edge is cut irregularly rather than bound straight, so the rug reads as a shape laid on the floor instead of a rectangle filling it. Against a hard floor that softness at the perimeter is what stops the rug looking like a mat.
The pile is fluffy polyester over a cream striped ground. It is warm underfoot and light enough to move on your own, which matters for a rug that will be picked up and washed rather than left down for a year.
It washes. That is the practical case for it over a wool rug in a room where a rug takes real traffic, spilled coffee or a dog. One size, sitting comfortably under a coffee table or beside a bed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can it really go in the wash?
Yes. The polyester pile is made to be washed, which is what makes it workable in a room with spilled coffee or a dog.
What size is it?
80 by 120 cm, roughly 31 by 47 inches. It sits comfortably under a coffee table or along one side of a bed.
Will the irregular edge fray?
No. The edge is cut and finished as part of the design rather than left raw, so it holds its shape through washing.
